Abby O’Connell
“Lord, break your heart for what breaks mine.”
That’s the prayer I prayed — and soon felt the weight behind it. I began to see the hurt in the words: “Children are being exposed to pornography at 11…” Does this not break your heart?
As I looked closer, I realized how often we encounter media that’s over-sexualized, explicit, or vulgar. It’s everywhere.
I didn’t start Filled because of ambition. This wasn’t my plan; it was God’s call. After graduating college, I was ready to chase success in finance. But the Lord interrupted my plans and placed Filled on my heart.
It began with an event in Chicago - Jesus Movement Chicago and a question: What if we could do more?
I reached out to Malachi and Nate, who had been part of the event, and what started as an idea became a leap of faith. I quit my job, stepped out with them, and watched God open doors we never expected.
Filled exists to create clean, life-giving media in a world where content isn’t going anywhere but its impact can change. Whether you believe in God or not, our hope is that what you find here leaves you feeling fulfilled, not drained.

When looking for fulfilling content or helpful podcasts I often get stuck doomscrolling. So, when Abby talked about rebranding Jesus Movement that I got to help out with, to a new type of fulfilling content, I was all for it.
I love learning and sharing stories, and I believe the Lord has a special plan to use social media to fill people with the Sprit. I am excited to be apart of a gospel-spreading movement!

I am privileged to be part of this wonderful idea that the fellow founder of Filled Media has created! I was given the opportunity to first capture the essence of Jesus Movement Chicago, and this way of engaging men and women of faith really struck a chord within my heart. It inspired me to share the Gospel not only with believers but also with unbelievers. This led me to talk to Abby and ask her impactful questions, which eventually led her to thrive within Filled. Filled is the bridge that connects our everyday platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, providing a space where believers and non-believers can be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Gospel can be shared!

These are some key verses that are our hope and inspiration for Filled! That people who are so indulged in this world may be filled with love and hunger for Christ!
